He-Man Finally Returns in ‘Masters of the Universe: Revelation’ With Mark Hamill Voicing Skeletor
After almost 40 years, He-Man returns to the realm of Eternia in the trailer for Netflix’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation, giving us a glimpse of the show’s blood-pumping action, magic, and a soundtrack laden with ’80s nostalgia.
It starts with the iconic castle closing its gates as Skeletor demands the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull to “call on your champion”. It also teases the epic battle between He-Man and Skeletor that seemingly leaves Eternia fractured and its heroes scattered.
Revelation showrunner and co-creator, Kevin Smith said the series will pick up directly after the events of the classic Masters of the Universe cartoon from the ’80s. As you can tell, He-Man is still rocking that bowl cut.
Based on the trailer, we get to see the fantastical tone of the show and other characters that look as they did back in the original cartoon, except now they’re more cool-looking and detailed than ever.
The voice cast includes Mark Hamill (Skeletor), Chris Wood (He-Man), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Teela), Lena Heady (Evil-Lynn), Henry Rollins (Tri-Klops), Jason Mews (Stinkor), and more.
The Revelation trailer premiered during Netflix’s Geeked Week which runs from 7 to 11 June 2021, giving exclusive sneak peeks, announcements, trailers, and celebrity interviews.
Besides He-Man and his muscular comrades, the Day 4 show which, revolved around Netflix’s upcoming animated and anime projects also showcased Godzilla: Singular Point, Transformers: War for Cybertron, and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation Part 1 will stream on Netflix on 23 July with an official aftershow with the cast and crew on the same day. So, sharpen your magical sword and get your power ready.
