Murty’s new song ‘Caviar‘ dropped last Friday, 17 April, and it settles into its own world almost immediately.
Not in a way that demands your attention but in a way that assumes you’re already there with it, already half submerged in this soft, late-night space where everything feels slower, lighter, and a bit more deliberate than real life usually allows.
It’s built on that classic R&B and soul foundation, warm and slightly hazy, but it doesn’t feel like a reference exercise or some retro nod done for aesthetic points, it feels more like Murty actually knows how to sit inside that sound and stretch it into something that still feels like him.
You can almost picture the scenes without the song telling you too much. Driving past your girl and her friend group in some old car, pretending you’re just passing through but both of you locking eyes for that split second. Later it turns into a casual text on a flip phone that says very little but somehow says everything anyway.

The thing with Murty is that the more you know him, the more the song shifts shape.
On the surface, ‘Caviar’ is smooth, romantic, easy listening, all soft edges and clean delivery. But underneath that, there’s a kind of emotional clarity that makes it feel less like a performance and more like a real extension of him, not just the lover boy image but something more grounded sitting underneath it. It gives the whole thing a different weight, almost in the same emotional lane as XXXTENTACION… if he was a little happier and way luckier in love.
The chorus, “smooth like caviar,” ends up doing more than it first lets on, because by the time it loops back you’re not fully sure what it’s pointing at anymore, whether it’s the girl, or Murty’s voice itself. :p
It runs at 3 minutes and 6 seconds and doesn’t overstay its welcome, which matters more than it sounds like it should, because songs in this lane can easily slip into repetition, but here the intro keeps you slightly on edge in a good way, like it’s easing you into something without fully letting you settle too quickly.
The outro is the sweet spot, where it closes it off cleanly, not abruptly, just enough to leave that lingering aftertaste instead of cutting the mood off mid-breath.
Production comes from fellow friends and members of the industry namely @eminooacid, @bigbootytwofive, @moghulmiz, and @itscuddlesworth. Our huge kudos to the team!

A snippet dropped beforehand as a preview, just enough to hint at the world of it without giving it away, and then the full release on 17 April confirmed what it was building toward.
Listen to it here.
All in all, we say ‘Caviar’ exists in its own lane with a kind of quiet confidence, and that’s what makes it stick. And yes, make it the very first song on that ‘Sensual & Chill’ playlist you were planning to start.
