Indie Label mü-nest’s First Night of 2017 is at Live Fact
Fans of ambient and electronica aren’t strangers to KL-based indie label mü-nest. For those who aren’t privy to the name though, they’ll be holding this year’s first mü-nest night – a series of label showcases – at Live Fact on Saturday 3 June. Fresh off successful showcases in Kyoto, Tokyo, Beijing, and Prague, it’s about time mü-nest introduces some of its signees and affiliates locally again.
This time, classically trained but electronically inclined Macau-based Japanese musician AKI tops the bill, followed by another Macau artiste, DJ-producer Burnie, whose music is a conflation of UK garage, bass, and downtempo blended with oriental traditional music. On the local front, mü-nest staple Euseng Seto (fka flica) and its new face Dae Kim will fill the room with their respective form of ambient electronica.
It’s not all live music, kicking off the night an hour earlier is vinyl-only DJ, Oddjob, while visually Sinking Summer (also from Macau) will VJ throughout the night.
