It really hits hard when someone you love goes through sickness they can’t avoid, that’s why sometimes simple moments like a lil’ dancing and playing ball can be really special with that someone. Last Sunday was Father’s Day, a simple holiday where we celebrate the presence of dads in our life.

In honour of it, Malaysia’s very own Olympic cyclist, Azizulhasni Awang aka ‘Pocket-Rocketman’, decided to post a heartfelt video of his Ayoh, Awang bin Embang on Facebook. The 3-minute clip shows Pak Awang being taken care of by Azizul’s little brother, Asive.

In the caption, Azizul explained that his father is a stroke survivor who currently has dementia.

“I watched this video with mixed emotions. There’s sadness, there’s happiness. But at least I’m thankful to know that Ayoh is well taken care of in Dungun. Only God can repay my siblings’ kindness… The highlight of Ayoh’s time was watching my race at the SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017 at Velodrome Nilai.

Soon after, Ayoh’s health deteriorated. Ayoh is a hero and a warrior who fights against all kinds of illnesses, challenges and whatever comes his way”, he said.
