M’sian TikToker Shares Curious Whale Meat Berlado Recipe
To most homegrown Malaysians, venison and kangaroo meat are considered novelties, so you can only imagine the social storm that stirred up when a Malaysian woman shared her unconventional recipe for cooking whale meat.
On her TikTok account, @kakaknorway.official, she not only expressed a sudden craving for fish, but also generously spilled the beans on how to cook whale meat – in a Berlado style, at that.
The video begins with how this desire came when she stumbled upon whale meat during her routine grocery shopping. In her caption, she not only revealed her prior experience in cooking whale meat but also highlighted the Malaysian twist she adds, either through the flavours of Masak Lemak Cili Api or the tantalising Berlado:
@kakaknorway.official Dalam keadaan yang tak berapa sihat, Saya pergi ke kedai beli beberapa barang keperluan. “Hmm… Nak masak apa ya? Mungkin ikan la kot. Lama dah tak makan ikan. ” Saya pi bahagian ikan di Rema1000, Jumpa daging ikan paus. Harga 3 keping daging ikan paus: 87.90 kroner. Daging ikan paus ni biasa saya buat masak samada: Masak lemak ciliapi Atau Berlado Ada orang Malaysia di Norway yang buat rendang ikan paus, Ada jugak yang pernah buat kari. Untuk saya, 2 menu tu aje. Disini saya sertakan resepi daging ikan paus berlado: Daging ikan paus Berlado 🌶️🌶️ 500g daging – basuh dengan lemon dan tepung, hiris nipis Gorengkan dengan serbuk kunyit dan garam *5-6 tangkai cili merah – boleh campur cili kering *4 biji cili padi merah – ikut kepedasan masing2 *4 biji bawang merah *2 ulas bawang putih (semua bahan * kisar /tumbuk agak kasar) 1 inci halia ketuk sedikit jus limau garam dan sedikit gula Cara-cara Gaul daging dengan garam dan juga serbuk kunyit. Panaskan minyak, hingga garing. Kalau nak goreng basah pon boleh, tak perlu sampai garing. Angkat. Nak “kick” lagii, Buat sambal belacan. Pergh… Selamat mencuba. kalian makan apa tu? #ikanpaus #ikanpausbiru #resepimudah #resepi #kakaknorway #tiktokmalaysia #foryourpage #fyp ♬ 3 minutes cooking song(863632) – furufuru
