The Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) is back with their annual MSC Malaysia Intellectual Property Creators Challenge 2012 (IPCC 2012) with up to RM1.5 million in grants up for grabs. The competition is open to amateurs and professionals from the creative media industry who will be judged by the best in the industry. It’s serious business when potential home-grown creative contents stand a chance to gain international recognition.

Since 2006, IPCC has helped over 126 individuals and companies to turn their ideas into reality by granting winners a development lair at Cyberjaya, unlimited access to MSC Malaysia Animation & Creative Content Centre’s (MAC3) facilities and also, consultancy from industry heavyweights that will further help them in turning their ideas into reality. The allocation of RM1.5 million in funds will see 35 deserving groups or companies assistance to further their ideas in the following categories:

Animation
15 winners will receive RM50,000 each to develop a 3 minutes sizzle animation.

Digital Interactive Comic
10 winners will receive RM25,000 each to develop a 60 pages comic illustration & digital interactive comic.

Casual Games
10 winners will receive RM50,000 each to develop a commercial ready game.
