Move over KL….
Meaning “party” in Cuban and “movement” in Spanish, Movida is a kitchen-bar-club-lounge that dishes up a variety of international cuisines by day and serves as party central to the younger, upwardly mobile population of Kota Damansara by night. The music may be a generic (don’t expect any Sleigh Bells or Crystal Castles) but it panders to the masses with a good mix of current hits, rnb, hip hop, house, techno, electro and trance. With two Ladies Nights a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays and staggered Happy Hour beer promos happening daily, Movida is keeping PJ’s young executives and professionals out of KL and closer to home.

Drinks Draught beer is available at half pint (RM14-RM18), 1 pint (RM25-RM32) and jug (Tiger beer only, RM60). Bottled beers (RM18-RM25) also sold by buckets (5 bottles: RM86-RM120. Selected beers only). There’s a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks too like the Frosted Lemongrass & Lychee (RM10) but prices for non-alcoholic drinks increase after 11pm.
Happy Hours Staggered Happy Hours take place from noon to 10pm and 10pm to midnight with one-for-ones on Tiger, Guinness, Kilkenny, Heineken and Paulaner draught, and buckets of Tiger Crystal, Guinness and Heineken earlier on and two-for-one later. The day time drinking session also works out a whole 50% cheaper, so come early and stay for a while.
Monday It’s Sexy Industry Night so loosen up those ties. Flash your service or college ID and get one-for-one on beers, loose drinks and selected cocktails all night, and 20% off bottle purchases. Ladies get it all free, and by that we mean entry and selected drinks.
Tuesday Home Alone ironically means gets up off the couch and get out. Don’t stay at home, be with friends! Flash your college ID and get more of what you had on Monday. Sweet!
Wednesday Flirt is Ladies’ Night. DJ Nitesin provides the sexy choons to shake your tambourine to. Chicks get to slip in for free and slurp a free flow of fabulous cocktails and win free gifts! Bring 4 gal pals and your group of 5 will get a free bottle of 42 Below vodka or Bacardi rum. Life’s just not fair, is it guys?
Thursday Naughty Ladies’ Night continues with DJ Reeve, while the club serves up more of the same goodies for the gals.

Saturday sees DJ Naz take the tempo higher. Throw off them heals and get ready to partay!
Eats Halal and bountiful, Movida serves up a gastronomic smorgasbord that fills the hole. From piping hot soups to salads and sandwiches, pastas, pizza and beyond, there’s no need to drink on an empty stomach here.
Dress code Smart casual. Don’t be a slouch.
Door policy Wed-Sat: Cover charge imposed from 10.30pm onwards, with the exception of Ladies Nights on Wed and Thu when the fairer sex sashay in with nary a need to snap open their purses. Wed & Thu: RM30 bef. 12mn, RM40 after; Fri & Sat: RM35 bef. 12mn, RM45 after.

Parking Ample street parking and parking lots within the mall, so keep it legal.
