MoHa! & Horacio Pollard Live in Kuala Lumpur

Sensorial light and noise performer MoHa!, and noise antics musician Horacio Pollard will be making their way to our shores for an intimate gig at The Annexe Gallery, Central Market this 12 April. Jointly presented by the peeps from Soundscape Records with Pink Fono jamspace and Herbal International, the night of breathtaking experimental performances will see a live collaborative improvisational set from both acts. So expect lots of noises… Good noises, we mean.

Headlining the gig are two young Norwegian musicians. MoHa consists of Anders Hana (guitar and synthesiser) and Morten J. Olsen (drums and supercollider). Experimenting music since 1998, they gained lots of national and international recognition for their first release, Raus aus Stavanger in 2006. Moha’s music is best described as an extreme Aphex Twin meets Merzbow.

Performing under the same bill, Berlin/London based musician Horracio Pollard will serve his mind-altering obscure noise creations. The noisemaker has been making music since 2000 with his 3-piece band Cau_Cational Betreet and has released a bunch of solo records under various labels such as Wong Music, Adaadat, Twilight Luggage and his own Neigh Music.

Mark your calendar and catch them bringing the noise live alongside local instrumental rock band Citizens Of Ice Cream, avant-noise punks Maharajah Commission, and sound artist Goh Lee Kwang. It will be very noisy. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
