Two decades ago, who would have thought that an underground club in a bus depot would go on to be the world’s leading dance brand. Yet it has, and this year, Ministry of Sound celebrates its 20th anniversary!
From its humble beginnings at a breezeblock warehouse in one of south London’s less salubrious areas, MOS has not only stood the test of time and but has gone on to be the world’s most recognized clubbing brand with a successful record label and offshoots around the globe, including right here in KL!
To mark the occasion, the club will host a photograph exhibition in its early years alongside artwork, documentary footage and vintage flyers at its Elephant and Castle home. There will also three-day party celebrating the birthday in September and a 20-date international tour, welcoming back old school big-name DJs such as Roger Sanchez – one of the original Ministry regulars – who will play in Miami on 23 March.
We at JUICE wish you a very happy birthday and here’s to another 20 great years!
