Enough of Family Guy, the Simpsons, South Park, and especially the combination of the first two, we need some new adult cartoons! Adult Swim’s latest creation, Mike Tyson Mysteries seems to be a promising new series for all of us manchildren to watch whilst under the influence of certain happy substance. With a very Scooby-Doo-esque vibe, the series centres around Mike Tyson (obviously), his friends, the Ghost of the Marquess of Queensbury, the Velma archetype of the group, Yung Hee, and his pet pigeon (a pet animal who drinks a lot, sounds familiar guys?). This ragtag bunch of misfits run around solving crimes and other forms of mysteries, presumably after which we imagine the perpetrator would shout, “I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids!” Well, maybe replace ‘meddling kids’ with convicted felons considering Tyson’s history…
