Arrgh! Old men in black leather can still rock… or at least they try to. Metallica can still put together mean groove, but haven’t we heard it all before? They even turned ‘The Unforgiven’ into a trilogy! In the style of …And Justice For All, what we have here are 10 songs each averaging more than 7 minutes of playtime. The wrong strategy to win new fans considering no one today has that kind of attention span. And the sprawling “epics” don’t have any climaxes either. Viagra anyone?
