Singaporean (dapper) rapper Mean impressed us with the release of debut LP NSFW: Not Safe For Work in 2015, now recent EP By Any Means is doing the same. The five-tracker chronicles the full spectrum of Mean’s emotions; with opener ‘Sweet Dreams’ detailing a long distance relationship, ‘Trollin’’ referencing a recent spade of hate comments he’d received on Instagram, ‘Pull Up’ being the obligatory crew banger, ‘Walk That Talk’ making a strong case for the EP’s title, and finally, ‘Grim Reaper’ connects hard work with the finality of death. Interestingly, each single comes with its own artwork by differing artists, all of which can be bought individually along with a physical copy of the EP via Bandcamp.
