Martell is back with a challenge that is louder than your neighbour’s late-night karaoke…

The Swift Talent Quest 2025 is now open for submissions! This is not just another DJ competition. It is Martell’s unapologetic commitment to raising the next generation of Malaysia’s music talent by giving local DJs a bold platform to own the spotlight, crank up the audacity, and prove that the booth is their kingdom.

The call is open to both fresh faces and seasoned selectors from across Malaysia. Think of it as a nationwide proving ground. A chance to push yourself, level up your craft, and perform on standout stages where the only thing louder than the bass is the opportunity.

Here’s what you need to know before you hit “upload”:

  • Submissions close on 14 September 2025

  • RM128,000 worth of prizes are on the table

  • The champion walks away with RM30,000 in cash plus a lineup of exclusive perks to supercharge their music journey

Or as Liew Pooi Wan, Head of Marketing at Pernod Ricard Malaysia, puts it: “Swift Talent Quest is about more than just playing a good set, it’s also about showing up with boldness, with vision, and pushing your own creative edge. This platform is for those ready to Soar Beyond The Expected.”

How to Enter:

  1. Cook up a DJ set (max 5 minutes) that shows off your signature sound.

  2. Upload your mixtape video on Instagram or other similar platforms with the hashtags #MARTELLMY #NOBLIGE #SWIFTTALENTQUEST.

  3. Fill in the official entry form at martell.com/en-my/talentquest.

  4. If shortlisted, you will be called up to perform live at the Swift Nights preliminary rounds. That is where you will bring the fire, and maybe a USB stick backup just in case.

Don’t expect a repeat of last year’s free-for-all, though!

The 2025 edition comes with curveballs: once contestants are confirmed to advance to the next stage, the specific challenge for that stage will only be revealed closer to the date.

The competition also renews its partnership with DJs Playground, returning as mentors to guide contestants through the chaos. Last year’s champion, DJ Svggy, can vouch for what this platform does for your career. She carved her name into Malaysia’s DJ scene after taking the crown in 2024.
