Few clubs in Asian Heritage Row have managed to stay open for long. Blanc Le Club, Atrium, Bar Savanh, Bed have come and gone. To its credit Maison has managed to stay the course despite the challenges of fickle crowds, the emergence of newer flashier entertainment areas and a waning economy. Just off the main AHR thoroughfare, this cavernous two-storey club is located in a series of converted colonial homes. The area’s grand dame, the large white mansion is beautifully lit on the outside and entrance is by way of a red carpet.

Against a backdrop of raw red brick walls, Maison plays host to four bars, a booming sound system, LED lights and a huge dancefloor. While its tagline is “Beauty has a beat”, its beat is predominantly rnb, hip hop and non-threatening club hits. Nevertheless it has hosted some interesting nights, the occasional visiting DJ and has a loyal crowd. Besides the look-at-me garden-seating out front, there are plenty of places to kick up your heels with ample seating downstairs and nests of couches and armchairs upstairs.

Thursday Vibration DJs Funkzu, Monkey and MC Vibe keep the ladies happy with a heavy rotation of dancefloor friendly rnb, hip hop and chart topping dance music tunes. Oh yes, it’s Ladies Night!
Friday Juice Not to be confused with JUICE mag, JUICEonline or the store, Kuro + Shiro drop rnb and hip hop like its hawt.
Saturday Bounce DJ Doni & MC Syze turn out a playlist of some of the phatest commercial rnb and hip hop joints.
Sunday Happymale DJ Adam S drops sexy handbag music for the alternative crowd.

Drinks Ongoing promotions include 2 bottles of Deward, Courvoisier, Bombay, Bacardi, Russian Standad at RM488 before 11.30pm and RM588 thereafter. It also gets you 8 people through the door! Tuborg is RM80/bucket, otherwise its club prices – RM18-RM25/beer.
