Let’s talk about worth – To us, it’s not just a word; it’s a feeling, a vibe that L’Oréal Paris MY has so beautifully amplified in our lives. This brand isn’t just makeup and skincare; it’s a warm embrace that whispers, “You are worth it,” each time you dab on their foundation or swipe on their lipstick.

In a world often marred by stringent standards and confining norms, L’Oréal Paris MY stands as a pillar of change, reminding women that they are worth it in every shape, way, or form. This ethos was beautifully exemplified through their pivotal role in our Inclusive Beauty campaign. By organising a transformative makeup masterclass and selecting two inspiring ambassadors to grace the runway in their #WalkYourWorth show, L’Oréal Paris MY showcased not just cosmetics, but a celebration of authenticity.

Diversity isn’t a mere buzzword for L’Oréal Paris; it’s ingrained in the heart of their brand story. Their dedication to diversity shines through not only in the varied faces featured in their campaigns but also in their wide array of products. From skincare tailored for every skin type to makeup embracing a spectrum of shades and haircare designed for different textures, L’Oréal ensures that every Malaysian woman discovers something perfectly suited to her distinct beauty.

At the KLFW show, L’Oréal Paris MY made a bold statement by featuring 19 remarkable women from diverse backgrounds, breaking away from traditional modelling norms. Notably, two of their ambassadors, Lavinia and Nandini, joined this empowering lineup.

Speaking to JUICE, Lavinia, who has faced adversity due to her “deaf and dark-skinned” identity, shared her experience. Despite initial nerves, walking the runway became a transformative moment. For her, it wasn’t about fitting into society’s beauty ideals; it was about embracing her worth.

She emphasised that L’Oréal Paris MY’s mission isn’t about shaping beauty standards but making every woman feel beautiful in her own skin. Lavinia’s story reflects the brand’s commitment to empowering women beyond stereotypes, fostering genuine self-belief and acceptance.

L’Oréal Paris MY’s narrative transcends the conventional boundaries of the beauty industry. While many beauty brands often align with a capitalistic agenda that exploits women’s insecurities, L’Oréal Paris MY stands as a contrasting streak. It champions a concept rooted in self-love, urging individuals to embrace their inherent beauty with tenderness and care. Rather than perpetuating the cycle of conformity by promoting an incessant array of products, L’Oréal Paris MY fosters empowerment through the belief that true beauty lies in self-acceptance and authenticity.

It encourages individuals to find strength in their uniqueness, celebrating the beauty that comes from within, and rejecting the pressure to conform to societal or traditional ideals of ‘beauty’.

At the L’Oréal Paris MY masterclass, we got to explore not only our own unique beauty, but also witness the allure of womanhood and togetherness. Seated in a room full of women giggling, smiling and sharing stories with one another while L’Oréal taught us how to care for our skin and look our best using their products was such an uplifting experience – and I think we all went home feeling just a little more ‘worth it’ than before, each with a newfound glow on her face that isn’t completely the work of a killer primer.

So you see, L’Oréal Paris MY isn’t just about fostering beauty; it’s about redefining it. The brand dares to challenge norms, celebrating diversity and valuing every form of self-worth. Its history speaks volumes, harking back to an era when even having short hair was groundbreaking.

L’Oréal Paris MY isn’t just a brand; it’s a powerful message, urging women to defy societal expectations, whether through their hair, makeup, or just by being true to themselves.

So, here’s our invitation to you, fellow Malaysian women: Together, let’s acknowledge our worth, not just in front of the mirror but in every room, every meeting, and every dream we chase. Whether you’re rocking their Color Riche lipstick or letting your natural hair cascade freely down your back, remember, you are worth it.

This isn’t just a brand; it’s a sisterhood. Made for you – because you’re worth it!
