Little Door Festival Holds Art Festival for Children & Parents To Bond Through Picnics, Storytelling & More
Who said art festivals were only for adults?
The Little Door Festival is adding their own spin to it by having an arts festival catered specially for children under the age of 12 this July in Penang.
The arts festival is also now calling parents to participate in its “When We Were Young” Workshop and Photo Exhibition where it aims to strengthen the bond between the children and their parents since many children have never seen photos of their parents at a young age.

From July 16 to 25, 10 chosen families will join a workshop to bring parents together through the photos exhibited and stories they will share.
Other than that, The Little Door Festival has an eventful line-up of arts events, activities and workshops for children between the ages of four and 12.
Tickets for the children’s theatre performance, Grown Together, about a boy going on an adventure will be sold in pairs for child and adult.
“The tickets are only for children and the children will bring the adults with them,” Koe added.
The plethora of activities available includes an outdoor picnic, storytelling sessions, a children themed market and workshops for children.
Since The Little Door Festival is relatively new, Koe revealed that they are managing the activities under a limited circumstance as they lack resources.
The entire festival which will be held at the Hin Bus Depot, is aiming to create a space where children can feel at home with the activities held.
Closing date for the photo submission is May 9 while the photo exhibition will be held from July 16 to 25.
The main festival itself is a two-day event from July 17 to 18.
