This year is probably going to be remembered as the one where it became the in thing for new acts to try and get big while remaining as anonymous as possible. As oxymoronic as it may seem, the ones that have made it though, like ZHU, are fully deserving of it. While this is no ‘Faded’, it pays fitting tribute to CHVRCHES, who’ll be down in Malaysia in a couple of months. The vocals don’t have the cutesy tinge of the original — it’s a little more haunting now, and more in line with the sordid lyricism of the track. It’s also a little more dancy, so get your kicks out and bust some chops on the floor!
