LISTEN: Midnight Fusic Breaks Big With Their Anti-Love Anthem ‘Lovesick’
Make way for Midnight Fusic, the new faces of indie in the Malaysian music industry. To start the New Year, Midnight Fusic revealed their second single ‘Lovesick’, a sultry track with a polished groove that closes with a velvety guitar solo.
An anti-love anthem inspired by Arif Aizuddin’s (lead vocalist) insight on a toxic relationship and the complications of letting go, ‘Lovesick’ is #relatable.
‘Lovesick’ is the perfect projection of what to expect in the future from Midnight Fusic. Their indie rock sound on ‘Lovesick’ lands them onto the same playlists where you’d find Hujan, Bombay Bicycle Club, Two Door Cinema Club and of course, The 1975 who are one of Midnight Fusic’s biggest musical influences.
Midnight Fusic is a band of four young men fresh out of high school, based in Kuala Lumpur. We’ve got Arif Aizuddin on vocals and rhythm guitars, Adrian Danial on lead guitar, Firdaus Azmi on the bass, and Muaz Rabbani on drums. The four came together over their love for alternative and indie music and have been writing and composing their own music for two years.
Best believe that if your favourite alternative indie band were in town, Midnight Fusic sounds like the right act to open for them.
