Getting the help of frequent collaborator, Halfway Kings‘ Adeline Chua, veteran electronic duo Like Silver’s cover of ‘My Body is A Cage’ (by way of Peter Gabriel’s cover of the original track by Arcade Fire, Inception-style) is goosebumps-inducing — a great gateway track to them, even. Told to “sing like she was humming to her ghost child,” Adeline’s low key vocals are naturally spectral-like, especially at the coda when she demands for her body to be set free. It’s been a while since their EP, so here’s hoping that this signifies the possibility of a full-length, or any kind of new release, in the offing.
