Cigarettes After Sex is a long-standing band, having been conceived in 2008. After the release of 2015 EP Affection, here’s single ‘K.’ The lyrics are plainly spoken, making the words truthful and intimate. Lead singer Greg Gonzales croons a number of details of memories with a lover, mostly very mundane scenarios but in his remembrance, it has a rose-tinted filter to them. The pace of the song is that of a ballad – it’s delicate and tender. “I think I like you best when you’re with me and no one else,” the protagonist finally admits in the song to ‘K.’, who’s possibly Krystal in the song.
