For the uninitiated, Carmada is Yahtzel and LDRU‘s joint collaborative plaything. Off the hypertalented Sydney starlets’ debut release The Realise EP, ‘On Fire’ is a smooth, bouncy, very Flume-influenced track — with perhaps a little more grit to it than Down Under poster boy’s usual creamy synth sounds. Strong vocals from fellow Australian r’n’b vocalist/co-songwriter Maribelle (who’s got some hot stuff coming out with Lido soon!) only serve to make the choon that much better. No wonder Skrillex picked the duo up — these guys are potent.
