We featured these two acts individually just a bit more than a month ago, and now local electronic scene initiative, HOAX, has roped them in for a collaborative promo track of the second edition of their gig series; HOAX002. Named ‘Anthem’, implying that this might be the collective’s official theme, the beat begins in a typical Burial-channelling Aliuddin fashion before unexpectedly taking a leftfield turn midway — creating a soundscape that is less derivative of their influences, although a tad on the anticlimax side (we were digging the Burial vibe).
