Oasis fans lamented over the breakup of the iconic band in 2009, and while the Gallagher brothers may not see eye to eye anymore, that hasn’t stopped Liam from making new music. Meet Beady Eye and their first single ‘Roller’, which sounds a lot better than the bands namesake.
The band is Gallagher, former Oasis members, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and newcomer, Chris Sharrock. While the comparisons to the Oasis will be inevitable, the boys pull some influences from earlier British legends (hint: there’s a track titled ‘stones and beatles’) as well as bringing in producer Steve Lillywhite who’s famously done work with The Smiths, U2 and The La’s.
Liam was quoted as saying “I’ve had some of the best nights of my life listening to this record, so keep an er, eye our for Beady Eye and their album, Different Gear, Still Speeding, dropping March 1st.
For all the Beady Eye madness, head to the site for an eyeful.
