Levi’s® 501® Bash @ Tower Terrace, KL Tower
The Levi’s® 501® Bash Party at the Tower Terrace, KL Tower ended the year on a high note with performances by some of the region’s award-winning artists.
Featuring local acts such as Estranged, Deja Voo Doo Spells, MC Syze, Joe Flizzow and DJ T-Bone, Zul Mystroe, Richard J, Sleeq of Singapore and DJ Cream of Indonesia, local rock band Deja Voo Doo Spells led the mayhem with a solid performance whilst Estranged got the crowd piping up and singing along to their chart topper, ‘Itu Kamu’. This was followed by a string of eclectic mixes from Richard J and Zul Mystroe.
The highlight of the night proved to be rapper Joe Flizzow, who’s energetic beatboxing turned out to be the perfect lead-in to some heat packing collabrations with cohorts Kartel Hitman, MC Syze and DJ T-Bone. It was then left to DJ Cream to take the night to its conclussion with his soulful mix of r ‘n’ b and hip hop.
Riding on the definitive spirit behind the iconic Levi’s® 501® Jeans – unrestrained, self-expressive and free-spirited - three huge canvases featuring the work of 6 graff artists including Bee of Phobiaklik were displayed amongst the crowd, while Levi’s® 501® Jeans displayed on a rugged wire formation and minimalist white structures flanked the masses.
Organised in celebration of the launch of Levi’s® 501® Live Unbuttoned campaign in Malaysia, the live blowout was preceded by a series of road shows which Levi’s® took to the nation. Rolling out last October, the roadshow took in Penang, followed by Melaka, Kuantan and Johor Bharu and gave fans of popular local bands, Estranged, Deja Voo Doo Spells and solo artist, Ash Nair the chance to catch them live and let loose to the choons of Levi’s® guest DJs.
