Lean, Green, Squeaky Clean
Says Claire Danes, “Kiehl’s Superbly Restorative Skin Salve is my favorite moisturizer. I can use it on my face, my lips, or anywhere I need a little extra moisture!” Says Maggie Gyllenhaal, “I love to use the skin salve when I travel, it feels great on my skin during a long plane ride and I love that the Argan oil is organic.”
No prices for guessing the topic of this entry. Apart from a penchant for taking on roles that don’t exactly scream run-of-the-mill, these two actresses also share the privilege of having porcelain perfect complexions. And they owe it all to Kiehl’s Superbly Restorative Skin Salve.
The iconic American cosmetics company has teamed up with the testosteroney half of Brangelina to introduce their brand spankin’ new Aloe Vera Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser, which will be available at all Kiehl’s stores come October 2008. The all-natural cleanser has been specially and painstakingly formulated for an especially gentle yet highly effective cleansing along with conditioning of the skin.
What’s more its ingredients are 100% environmentally conscious and readily biodegradable (within 28 days!). Also, the cleansers come packaged in 100% food-grade, recycled bottles. Anything to lessen our carbon footprint.
A full 100% of its net profits will go towards JPF Eco Systems, a charitable organisation founded with Brad Pitt in support of global environmental initiatives. Their first project aims to support the efforts of Make It Right, in aid of the construction of housing in New Orleans for displaced Hurricane Katrina Victims.
