LANEWAY FESTIVAL SINGAPORE ’15: Lykke Li Out, Jon Hopkins In!

Sadly, Lykke Li will not be able to make it for all three legs of this year’s Laneway Festival due to health reasons. However, melodic dance extraordinaire Jon Hopkins will be stepping in with his own brand of majestic soundscapes and soaring aural composites in lieu of the mellow Scandinavian avant-pop starlet – and we can’t say that we’re disappointed to have an artiste of that calibre taking to the decks at Gardens By The Bay.

Lykke released an official statement on the matter:

“I’m incredibly sorry to announce that I’m no longer able to play in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore for Laneway Festival. It’s been a long time coming, but unfortunately tour life has caught up with me, and it’s been recommended that I take a break. I’m devastated, but I know I will return. Thank you for all the support, and I sincerely hope I can make it up to you at a later date”.
