Kissy Sell Out: Wild Romance (San City High)
Graphic designer, music producer and BBC’s Radio 1 resident DJ, Thomas Bisdee aka Kissy Sell Out who is known for his Vishnu-like four-deck spinning has just tossed his sophomore album Wild Romance under his own label. Coming after Youth in 2009 and Introducing Kissy Sell Out in 2010, his music has now evolved in a good way. In most of his previous works, his music was mostly a clash of rock and electro. Wild Romance is purely electro and fidget house with a little dubstep and whole lotta fun.
Tunes such as ‘Something Extraordinary’ and ‘Little Angel’ are pretty good but after a few tracks the album gets repetitive save for his collaboration with MC Cobra (‘Turn It On’) and Oh Snap!! (‘Homesick’). Although the album lacks variation, instrumental dance tracks like ‘Wild In The Warehouse’ and ‘Twiggy’ have potential to be the next club banger. Wild Romance may not be up to his show standards but it is still an interesting listen.
