Calculated to exact total damage, this 5-song debut EP from KL math rock outfit Killeur Calculateur comes close to the raw brilliance of Fugazi. Clocking less than 9 minutes in total, the message is clear, even through the screamo vocals, that this is counter-culture music. On ‘Tigers Gone Ape’, the band ploughs through with At The Drive In intensity, closing with sarcastic chanting (“Come on and get it / Don’t you wanna get it?”). ‘Slow Death’ features a screeching Coltrane saxophone and lasts for a mere 57 seconds.
