Kill Bill Killed
Legendary actor David Carradine, famous for his role in 1970s television show Kung Fu as Mr. Caine and in Quentin Tarantino’s movies Kill Bill as the title “Bill” was found naked and dead, hanging from a rope in a closet of his hotel room in Bangkok. If we had a therapist’s couch….
David Carradine was in the Thai capital shooting the film Stretch. Although there are no details as of yet on his death, it has been speculated that it must have been suicide. While it is certainly the last time he will struggle with his inner demons, it wasn’t the first. In an excerpt from his 1995 autobiography Endless Highway David wrote that he tried to kill himself when he was 5 years old.
His role in Kung Fu earned the actor his greatest fame. The US series which started in 1972, shot him to stardom and won David a large fan base for his role as Caine, a half-Asian martial arts expert and student of life. Dave’s impressive credits include 200 roles in movies, TV, video and DVD spanning nearly five decades. His role as Caine earned him US television’s highest accolade, an Emmy and his role in the Kill Bill franchise lent him a Golden Globe nomination. RIP Grasshopper.
