To speed up the National Covid-19 vaccination programme, vacant malls, stadiums and universities have become vaccination centres. Now, Kelantan’s Istana Balai Besar has opened its doors to the public to receive their vaccination with the authorisation of the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V.

According to Kelantan Royal Palace organiser Tengku Azmi Tengku Jaafar, this initiative was organised by the Sultan of Kelantan’s Office in collaboration with the Kelantan State Health Department (JKNK) for Phase Two of the National Rehabilitation Plan (PPN).

The palace will now be open for five days starting today and aims for 2000 recipients including staff and relatives of the Kelantan State Palace recipients to receive the vaccine.

He urges the people of Kelantan who are either in the state or overseas to take the increase of Covid-19 cases seriously and praises the frontliners for their efforts in curbing the pandemic.

Additionally, Tengku Azmi also expressed that upcoming programmes are in the works to be held at Istana Balai Besar, such as donating food baskets to the people of Kelantan who have been affected the most.

As of now, Istana Balai Besar is the only palace that welcomes citizens to receive their vaccination.
