So you heard about Kanye West hijacking Taylor Swift on stage while the girl was receiving her Best Female Video award for ‘You Belong With Me’. In typical Kanye fashion he interrupted to give a shout out to Beyonce instead. Didn’t his momma teach him manners?

Kanye grabbed the mike from the country singer’s hand and yelled, “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m a let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time” which was followed by many boos. It left the little Miss Swift standing there looking on blankly as the camera panned to Beyonce’s mortified mien.

The debacle was compounded by Taylor having to perform the song after the outburst. Yikes. Bless Beyonce, who later won Video of the Year for ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’ – she invited Taylor back on stage to reclaim her moment under the spotlight.

Ol’ Dirty Bastard of the Wu-Tang Clan (bless his soul) pulled the same stunt at the 1998 Grammy Awards. ODB stormed the stage when Wyclef Jean and Erykah Badu were presenting Song of the Year to Shawn Colvin’s ‘Sunny Came Home’ after losing to Puff Daddy for Best Hip Hop Album. Check it.

He quickly apologised in his blog: “I feel like Ben Stiller in ‘Meet the Parents’ when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave. That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.” Are we listening?
