Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge @ Ciao
There’s no reason not to go out during F1 week. The town is buzzing with celebrities and famous people everywhere, especially the endless parties. One of the many parties JUICE attended was the Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge at Ciao Restorante off Jalan Tun Razak. I didn’t know what to expect with my gold tag invite, but I was quite sure it was going to be a good night, as the Scotch whisky will be free-flowing all night long. Do I need to say more?
When I arrived at Ciao, I was overwhelmed by the set up and I was quite amazed by the décor. As soon as you step in, you were served a yummy Johnnie Walker fix before entering a large lounge area with couches and standing table tops. Further inside, you are welcomed into the party zone with hot hip hop and r ‘n’ b tunes blasting.
The main party section of the event wasn’t really strategically designed as it gets really cramped. It’s amazing how the Italian restaurant was turned into a super chic club lounge spot though. Music was provided by DJ Sassy Pandez that night for the 800 over attendees. It was strange how many Rihanna songs the DJ played, like some sort of obsession. With the free-flowing Johnnie Walker going on, we stopped complaining and partied it up, throwing our hands up.
There were 2 elevated sections inside and amongst the stars spotted partying it up at Johnnie Walker Black Circuit Lounge were Lina Teoh, Joanna Bessey, Alex Yoong, Vanessa and Pamela Choong, Serena C, Jojo Struys, Joey G and Andrea Fonseka. It was a also a night where you could see everyone in motoring, business and entertainment industries. People were seen going in and out from the main area to the lounge to take a breather, but they always ended up going back in. Obviously the drivers were in bed because they had a race the following day.
Overall, it was stylish and fun night that ended at around 2am. It left us wanting more. Some said it was a pointless event because there wasn’t any activities or race car displays, but just another night out of partying and drinking. We say, “why not?” It is a celebration of the F1 race week after all.
