Last year, East Londoner Jay Prince was one of the (very) few British rappers to have ever made it into XXL’s Freshmen list – it’s not surprising considering his sound is heavily guided by US hip hop rather than the UK scene. With cosigns from fellow Brits such as Beats One’s Zane Lowe and BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, not to mention Chi-city rapper Chance the Rapper and LA collective Soulection, Malaysians will get the opportunity to get on the hypetrain come end of this month as Malaysia’s premier hip hop gig organiser, Raising the Bar, is bringing him to Kuala Lumpur. And you know it; JUICE’s got two (2) pairs of tickets up for grabs.
