Jack White: ‘Love Interruption’
Jack is back on track! Is anyone keeping score on our rhyming skills? Because that one just took the cake. But we digress, ever since The White Stripes parted ways last year, Jack has been a member in two bands — The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. Now, he’s ready to step out with his solo album, Blunderbuss.
The album is comprised of songs written entirely by the ‘Seven Nation Army’ singer. Newly released single ‘Love Interruption’ is just a taste of what we can expect to hear in the upcoming album, and we’re really looking forward to it! The mostly acoustic song has a blues-y feel to it, and the lyrics are poignant and challenging. In a statement, Jack said, “Blunderbuss is an album I couldn’t have released until now. I’ve put off making records under my own name for a long time, but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. The songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colours on my own canvas.”
In other words, unadulterated Jack White, free from the creative direction of bandmates. We can’t wait.
