Hey Ferry, how’s it going?
All good, thanks for asking.

How has 2010 been treating you so far?
If I may say, pretty good. Finished mixing my new compilation Once Upon A Night and now preparing for the new world tour Once Upon A Night: The Experience.

Which part of the world are you answering these questions from?
This time I am actually at home in the Netherlands between doing rehearsals for the new world tour.

How hard was it to choose the producers for the new ‘Out Of The Blue’ remixes?
Not so difficult actually since the remixes were to come from various genres. There are a lot of great producers out there and to work in various genres makes it easier. I had some producers already in my mind when the project popped up.

Be honest, which one is your favourite remix of OOTB?
My favourite must be the Giuseppe Ottaviani remix, this is the one I play during my sets. But I can tell you that all the remixes are great. We made remixes for different styles of dance and people that have never listened to trance now get to listen to the track in the Koen Groeneveld, Laidback Luke or Simon Gain remixes. These are all house remixes.

Why did you wait for the 10th anniversary of System F to release an album of System F’s tracks?
I thought the 10th anniversary would be a nice birthday present for the original release.

What gave you the idea to run a remix contest online on System F FC?
The idea came because I wanted to do something else. The competition gives new talent the chance to remix one of my productions. I get a lot of enquiries from producers that want to remix my tracks. This is the chance. All they need to do is to enter the contest at www.fcsystemf.com

Will the winning remixes be released on a record?
All winning remixes will be included on System F Out Of The Blue Champions Edition. This will be released in June. Everybody who entered will be named in the booklet to show appreciation for their entry.

Can we expect a new track from System F any time soon?
Right now I’m preparing my new Ferry Corsten artist album. But never say never…. J

More Ferry Corsten at www.ferrycorsten.com and www.myspace.com/ferrycorsten. System F Out Of The Blue Champions Edition, out June, will be digitally remastered and will include a special bonus CD which contains the best and now hard to find remixes of System F cuts, made by Armin van Buuren , Barthezz , Rank 1 and Jan Driver, as well as  a ‘Violin Edit’ of ‘Out of the Blue’ and other material that was never before digitally released.

Ferry Corsten plays Zouk KL as part of his Once Upon A Night: The Experience Tour on 23 April. Doors open at 10pm, cover is tbc. For up to the minute deets, check back here at JUICE’s online event listings or contact the club at 03 2171 2075 or visit www.zoukclub.com.my.
