There’s no denying Audio Misdemeanour is one of Australia’s hottest upcoming DJs. This digital turntablist is part of a new breed in house music; he carries a simple success theory – music first, zero attitude. A winner of the 2008 Australian Pioneer Pro DJ Comp, Daniel commands dance floors with his fusion of funky, vocal and electro house. His sets are often described as ‘blistering’ and known to spontaneously raise hands in the air and command dance floors into a frenzy leaving nothing behind at the end of the night but cries of ‘one more!!!’ Since bursting onto the scene in 2007 Audio Misdemeanour boasts an impressive list of performances. He recently rattled the walls of Sevenatenine’s Trilogy 36 hour dance party. JUICE caught up with him.

What’s the worst job you’ve had to do?
Attempting to change my niece’s nappy. I do emphasise attempt!
What’s your favourite Aussie TV programme ever?
I don’t get much free time to watch a great deal of TV. I’d rather be out and about so if I have to pick one it would have to be Funniest Home Videos. I love anything that makes me laugh.
When did you last nurse a hangover?
Yesterday!
What’s your vice?
Not sleeping enough.
What’s the worst fashion item you’ve ever worn?
Silver pants.
Do you have a recurring dream?
No but I do have some pretty out there ones!
If you had 72 hours left to live what would you do?
I’ve always wanted to go to Las Vegas but haven’t had the chance just yet so that’s where you’d find me.
Who is your all time hero?
Well in the music scene it would definitely have to be Erick Morillo.
When was the last time you hit somebody?
I’m a lover not a fighter!?
When did you last pay for something in cash and what was it?
Hmm a taxi! Just last night.
What’s the last thing you do before you go to bed?
Hope that tomorrow will be as much fun as today was!
What’s your latest obsession?
Online auctions! I’m amazed at the fact you can buy everything online. I absolutely love it.
When did you last take a holiday and where did you go?
My last official holiday was late last year to Hamilton Island – a tropical island of the coast of Australia. Very relaxing.
If you could spend 72 hours with anyone in the world who would it be?
Most definitely Hugh Hefner. I think he’d be an absolute laugh!
Which trilogy was best: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Matrix, Kevin Smith’s Jay + Silent Bob Trilogy of films?
I always was a bit of a Star Wars fan so I’ll have to stick with that.
