By now, you’ve probably already listened to or watched ‘Lights’, the single from Interpol’s 4th studio album. And that’s basically the whole album. If you’ve heard one song, you’ve heard them all.

Harsh, but at least honesty is something these hardened New Yorkers should have going for them with all the comparisons to The Editors, Joy Division and pseudo-Lou Reed lyrics that never quite live up. Simply put, if you liked Interpol before this, you’re in for more coked-up, gloomy indie. If you didn’t, then don’t start. They’ll leave you with more than a nose bleed.
