Vans’ involvement in street culture for the past 50 years definitely played a part in shaping the scene to be what it is today – House of Vans is a platform to celebrate all aspects of ‘Off The Wall’’s heritage in arts, skateboarding, and music. A few activities lined up for this year’s party is a DIY paper shoes workshop, an art exhibition featuring the works of Donald Abraham, Katun, Engku Iman (art featured above), and art:tech, a skateboarding competition, and a small-scale concert fronted by Ray Barbee and The Mattson 2 (the frontman of this band was responsible for introducing numerous skateboarding tricks to the street), John Cardiel (DJ set), The Fridays, and Killeur Calculateur. Everyone is invited to attend the event although workshops are limited to a certain number of people; register here to avoid missing out!
