The only time we want to hear wisdom from the Viola Davis, Tina Fey, and Missy Elliott is all the time. Honda’s latest campaign for its newest CR-V model focuses on moving forward. To help with the narration, Honda reached out to various pop culture icons to share their optimism on turning dreams into reality, overcoming tough obstacles, and how something as traumatic as falling on your face is still considered a good step — according to Amy Adams, naturally. The gimmick here though, aside from the names, is Honda’s approach of superimposing the celebrities as their teenage-selves because nothing encourages people to believe that their futures will work itself out for the better more than seeing Steve Carell’s questionable moustache and thinking about how successful he is today.
