Hole: Nobody’s Daughter (Mercury)
After taking a good listen to Nobody’s Daughter, you’ll most likely want to pull out your combat boots, babydoll dresses or best plaid shirt, and engage the teen angst in you because it’s 1993 again.
It’s been 10 years since the last Hole album, and nothing has changed, except for Courtney’s vocals, which unfortunately cannot be likened to fine wine. While the faster angry tracks are passable, it’s time to hang up the acoustic guitar, Courtney.
Aristotle once said that “No great genius has ever existed without some touch of madness”. Courtney may have taken the “madness” too far.
