Unpretentious suburban club and bar with minimalist sensibilities….
So new the wrapping is barely off Hex Sensory Room (to give it its full title); Hanger, JUICE’s high-fashion/streetwear spin off held the first parties there at the end of November 2010. Spacious, with clean lines and a neutral palate, Hex’s sparse but slick interior has been likened by jetting-setting, It girls and boys to a minimalist club in Stockholm. With rotating and guest DJs and the occasional live band providing late night fun on the floor, and an alfresco area in which to chill out with a beer, cocktail and some non-halal pukka English tucker, Hex has been casting a spell on clubbers and bar flies far beyond its Damansara Perdana location.

Music policy The ressie plays downtempo beats and chill out in the earlies for the diners and Happy Hour indulgers, and progressively moves onto commercial rnb, electro, house and progressive house to keep latecomers on the spacious dancefloor. Guest DJs have included hip hop DJ Nesh and Singapore’s deebee stalwart DJ Reiki. Asia Nite celebrating K-pop and all things Korean storms the floor every Thursday starting from 9pm.

Drinks There’s an impressive selection of beer on tap, from Guinness, Kilkenny, Paulaner, Tiger and Strongbow, and a plethora of cocktails for those who like life a little sweeter;  try the current flavours of the season: After Life (kumquat and rum) or the Ginger Cosmo (vodka, triple sec, Curacao, ginger, cranberry, lime and orange). Wednesday is Cocktail Night. Ladies get 1 free cocktail of the house’s choice while it’s 15% off on cocktails for everyone else.

Happy Hour 5pm-9pm. RM19/pint of Kilkenny, RM22/pint of Paulaner, RM15/pint of Tiger, RM23/pint of Strongbow, RM18/pint of Guinness Draught or bring along 2 pals and get RM50nett on 3 pints Guinness Draught.

Eats The food shares a kitchen with Mayfair, the English Kitchen and Bar next door and is non-halal.  For the hungry, try the He-Man Platter. If you’re not have it anyway then work it off on the dancefloor. Dishes cost between RM30 and RM65.

Open Mon-Thu: 5pm-1am; Fri & Sat: 5pm-1am; closed on Sunday.

Dress code Smart casual.

Door policy None except for specified for events.

Parking RM2 flat fee after 6pm to park within PJ Trade Centre.
