Here Comes The Laneway Festival!

Oh boy another sweet music festival will be planting itself in Singapore this coming January. The Australian boutique music, Laneway Festival will be taking place for it’s 2nd year in Fort Canning Park in Singapore on the 29 January, 2011! Read on for the lineup that just might wet yourself…

The roots of this festival lie in Melbourne, where it all began in 2004 in Caledonian Lane. Quickly expanding to other parts of Down Unda’, the Laneway Festival became one the most popular and crowd attracting pop and indie music event. Always associated with quirky, unique landscapes of which the festival is placed, Fort Canning Park will be the perfect backdrop for the event; it’s botanical setting, gothic gate entrance and huge perimeter will cater to the thousands of indie kids flocking to the festival.

Also, being the first date of the Festival’s tour, the Singapore crowd will more than likely see the best of the bands at the event. Speaking of which, the lineup is an indie kid’s wet dream: !!! (Chk, Chk, Chk), Holy F**k, Yeasayer, Beachouse, Deerhunter, Foals, LadyHawke, The Temper Trap, Warpaint.
