Andy Butler-the main man behind Hercules & Love Affair-sure knows how to make things difficult: remove famed vocalist Antony Hegarty and producer Tim Goldsworthy, and severe from the label that released their acclaimed debut-all in the process of making the dreaded, difficult 2nd album.

But Andy escapes the syndrome due to a clever shift of focus from 70s disco to 80s house music, and his creative deftness allows him to revise dance sounds from eras past.
