This is not a drill! The highly anticipated Marvel movie Avengers: Endgame has been leaked and it’s all over the internet, especially on Twitter. Despite efforts from Disney to prevent anything for dropping, the five-minute footage with major fight scenes and spoilers could be creeping up on you.
Endgame hits cinemas in Malaysia this 24 April, so the leak comes about 9 days before the film’s release. Because of that, Avengers fans are urging everyone to mute or block Avengers-related hashtags on Twitter and to be generally mindful when using social media.
According to some people who have watched the leak, they confirmed that it’s full of big reveals.
Director of Endgame, Joe Russo told Box Office Pro that they encourage fans to go into the movie clean and to not spread spoilers themselves.
“I think this one has even more spoilers than the last one. This is a culture that wants everything now, and it’s getting worse… If you’ve been following along with this narrative for 10 years, you’re going to want to protect yourself,” Russo said.
Spoilers are always a concern, but the profile is higher with Endgame considering the dramatic conclusion to Infinity War. Not only does Endgame mark the end of MCU phase-three films, but the movie is believed to wrap up more than 10 years worth of Marvel Cinematic Universe storytelling that began back in 2008 with the first Iron Man movie.
