Likening it to adding another tiny hotel to an amassing collection in a Monopoly game, Penang Island do that on their turf with the opening of Hard Rock Hotel on September 19. Situated on Batu Feringghi, one of the most popular destinations in Asia, the hotel opened just 3 days after the official opening of the Hard Rock Cafe. We went and got these snaps, so if you havent been to Penang lately to check out the new addition, go to the jump.

Inspired by rock and roll music, its signature Hard Rock all the way. A huge guitar stands at the hotel entrance as well as a statue of a seated Michael Jackson, rock memorabilia and images of rock icons gang from the walls and a Harley Davidson sits parked at the entrance to the grand ballroom. JUICE‘s personal fave: the LED dot matrix chandelier in the lobby that changes colour every 10 seconds.
The hotel also home to Penang’s largest beach and sand swimming pool. The latter has built-in speakers for that ultimate rock and roll music experience. Hard Rock Cafe, on the ground floor of the hotel, is only the 2nd to open in Malaysia and is set to be Penang’s latest live music venue. With telephonists that greet your call with “How may I rock your world today?”, Hard Rock Hotel Penang looks to be an essential experience for any music fan headed north. Check it out below.
