Guinness St. Patrick’s Festival 2010 @ Central Park One Utama
St Patrick’s day is celebrated by Irish Catholics around the world on 17 March but for us Malaysians, its another great reason to gather together and drink some Guinness! 4000 Guinness fans left work early to flock at Central Park Avenue One Utama for a fun filled night of food, entertainment, laughter and Guinness!
It was definitely a Friday to remember. Guinness pulled out the works with a stage of live performanes from local bands like Rosevelt and HamsterDamnAged, Irish dance performances, carnival games and clowns walking on stilts around the crowd. Thanks to this event, you’ll learn that a cold pint of Guinness Draught also goes with fresh oysters and smoked salmon. Guinness fans were well spoiled and entertained alright!
Besides the stage performances Guinness had a comedy tent that had stand-up acts by Comedy Club guys Kuah Jenhan, Kavin Jayaram and the popular funnyman Douglas Lim (who was trying to explain to us why Chinese people aren’t funny). The highlight of the night was definitely the bright green fireworks that lit the sky. We were all feeling pretty jolly and a bit more Irish. Til next year, Happy St Paddy’s Day!
