Enigmatic wordsmith, Nick Cave, and Oz wild bunch, The Bad Seeds, have cornered themselves as “serious” musicians over the past 3 decades. But we all know Aussies are not all that serious, right?

So how do you break free? Simply create a new band (or a new band name) with the same people, make it more primal and ugly, sing about things like being frustratingly horny with grave urgency and by God, have fun doing it! That’s what you get with the sophomore Grinderman album. Sample a line from ‘Worm Tamer’ if you’re not convinced: “My baby calls me the Loch Ness monster / Two great big humps and then I’m gone”.
