For those of you unfamiliar with the Southport British band that sounds like a bunch of spaced out Mexicans, Gomez were the winners of the Mercury Music Prize for their debut Bring It On back in 1998.
11 years on, they’ve released their 6th studio album while still high on experimental arrangements, instrumentation and taco vibes. It’s definitely their most polished effort to day and makes for a perfect lazy day album. Gomez might be Brits, but the Americana in this one is strong, making it a worthy companion to Fleet Foxes. String up the hammock!
