GAP 0% Plastic Bag: GAP Celebrates Earth Day 2012 With 4 Local Street Artists
BACK TO OLD SCHOOL BY SKYY CHUN
(TATTOO ARTIST, GRAPHIC DESIGNER, ILLUSTRATOR)
“The vintage and times creation is a reminder to reduce the usage of plastic and start caring for the environment” – Skyy Chun
Graduating as a Graphic Designer in 2000, this tattoo artist first started working as a set and stage designer before setting up his own company called Skylab Design. Now a full time tattoo artist, inspired by street culture, rock music and vintage clothing, Skyy wanted to keep his 0% Plastic bag design straightforward and simple and found inspiration from the walls of old tattoo parlours where tattoo flashes were used to decorate the shops.
How do you feel about your environment?
Living in a concrete jungle makes me feel sick some times, I need more trees and fresh air.
How do you help the environment in your daily life?
I always reject plastic bag when I shop or at 7-Eleven. It has been a habit of mine for a long time.
Do you think awareness is enough to help the environment?
I agree with promoting awareness but you shouldn’t just say it, you need to do it too.
