G-SHOCK Highlights ‘Women of Our Time’ in Special Edition Purple Timepiece

With International Women’s Day just around the corner (8 March), G-SHOCK has unveiled a special edition timepiece to commemorate the occasion.
Filled with symbolism, the watch is part of the ‘Women of Our Time’ campaign, highlighting exceptional women across diverse fields, all of whom challenge the status quo.
A world where women can aspire to be and do anything
Using the analogue-digital fusion of the G-SHOCK GMA-P2125W-6A as a base, this year’s IWD timepiece is chock-full of symbolism, neatly presented in a soft purple colour scheme.
The watch’s design channels principles like justice and dignity, front and centre, with white and gold-coloured accents scattered throughout.
When the LED button is held down, the silhouette of a mimosa flower appears on the digital screen—paying homage to the official flower of International Women’s Day.
The watch features all the typical creature comforts of a G-SHOCK, including 200m water resistance, a shock-resistant construction, as well as an alarm, stopwatch, timer, calendar, and much more.
For this soft purple watch specifically, G-SHOCK is highlighting Japanese artist and illustrator, itabamoe.
A graduate of Bunka Fashion College, one of the most prestigious fashion schools in all of Asia, the Tokyo-based artist started off as an apparel designer before transitioning to illustration in the advertising field.
Her artistic career began in 2021, drawing on her experience depicting women in 2010s advertising. Through her illustrations, itabamoe redefines what it means to be beautiful, and to be a woman.
The G-SHOCK GMA-P2125W-6A is launching on 5 March 2025. Retailing at RM545, you’ll be able to find it online and in-store at your nearest authorised dealer.
